Smartphones scorch the Diwali charts; sales surge 70-75% y-o-y


NEW DELHI: Smartphone makers have the prosperous Diwali this year with sales of new entrants like Sony is going up five to six times whereas established players like Samsung has sold twice of handsets over as if compared to previous years.

During the five day weekend beginning form dhanteras by ending with Bhai Dooj on Tuesday , multi-brand retailers and handset makers proclaim that vast marketing spending have paid off and what their purchases might be a dull Diwali has been turned into the cracking one.

Nayyar states that Smartphones between 15,000 and 25,000 sounds out with customers on the back of monthly installment schemes, reparation protection insurance and headphones free of cost with every purchase.

Raghuvesh Sarup the Nokia India director of sales said the buyback plan on Lumia Smartphones exceeded our expectations in the leading way with the Nokia Lumia 925, Lumia 625 and Lumia 520.

There was a high demand for Smartphones with bigger screens like the Lumia 625 and sales of red, yellow and green Lumia and Asha devices demand was higher than other colors. 

During Dhanteras Samsung Smartphone is the market leader and their sales is doubled by the previous year festive end.
